Ducks and geese frequent it in the spring and fall, the white-bellied swallows (Hirundo
bicolor) skim over it, and the peetweets (Totanus macularius) "teeter" along its stony shores all summer.

First, their spires of flowers, in shades of blue, purple, pink, white and
bicolors, resemble small snapdragons.

The accessions used in the studies included 37 caudatums, 21
bicolors, 16 guineas, and 20 durras (Table 1).
