The crystallinity of the amide units in the 6T6m
diamide was high whereas that of the MDI units was probably low.
Inhibitors of IDE include p-hydroxymercuribenzoate (0.1 mmol/L), p-chloromercuriphenylsulfonic acid (pcMPS, 0.1 mmol/L), bacitracin (1 g/L), N-ethylmaleimide (1 mmol/L),1,10-phenanthroline (1 mmol/L), EDTA (5 mmol/L), and
diamide (5 mmol/L) [4-6].
Cyantraniliprole, also called Cyazypyr[TM], is in the anthranilic
diamide group of insecticides that disrupt the functioning of ryanodine receptors.
Benzyl amine was then added upon consumption of benzoic acid and the reaction mixture was heated for 5-10 min at 200-250degC under controlled microwave conditions resulting in 57% conversion (HPLC) along with the
diamide (5) along with some side products.
It would be interesting to study the effect of the number of
diamide segments in the chain as well as their positions in the chain on the rheological properties and particularly the network formation in the melt.

Diamide Insecticides vs a Neonicotinoid Insecticide Applied by Soil Drenching followed by Drip Application
Copolymers with varying polydispersity of the tetra-amide segments have been obtained in a controlled manner by mixing uniform
diamide segments (T6T) with tetra-amide (T6A6T) and hexa-amide (T6A6A6T).
Chlorantraniliprole is an anthranilic
diamide that targets ryanodine receptors located on the sarcoplasmic reticulum of muscle cells, and that leads to [Ca.sup.++] depletion, feeding cessation, lethargy, muscle paralysis and ultimately death in insects (Cordova et al.
If there had been no side reactions, only the
diamide [B.sub.2]DA would have been there, which would have approached a concentration of [c.sub.B2DA] = 50% (which is the limit because [B.sub.2]DA contains two benzoate groups).
More recently, chlorantraniliprole, an insecticide in the anthranilic
diamide class, has proven to be a useful for seed treatments in rice and foliar applications in multiple crops.
The polycondensation of diamines and diesters stops early at the stage of oligoamides because it does not only yield the expected monoamide units BDA and, from those, the chain forming
diamide units [B.sub.2]DA, but also methylated units BDAMe and BDAM[e.sub.2] and acid units B.
Chlorantraniliprole (Rynaxypyr[R], DPX-E2Y45, Coragen[R], DuPont Crop Protection, Wilmington, Delaware) is a xylem systemic insecticide with a new mode of action in the new anthranilic
diamide chemical class (DuPont 2008).
