A trick-taking card game in which each player contributes stakes to a pool and attempts to win at least one trick. A player who does not win at least one trick must add to the pool.

Loos
(lo͞os), Anita 1889?-1981. American writer who is best known for her many screenplays, including The Girl from Missouri (1934). She is also known for her novels, especially Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1925), which she later adapted for film.
