As regards this present work I'm actually going to look at loricae that were not really given much recognition until now, together with the standard ones.
Although the lorica is till now used for systematic status determination of genera and species, it should not be forgotten that tintinnids loricae present a high level of polymorphism (Laval-Peuto and Brownlee, 1986), and molecular and cell morphological information should be taken into account as a more natural and better classification of the paraphyletic genus Tintinnopsis (StrUder-Kypke and Lynn, 2003; Li et al., 2009).
(14) The purpose of the Lorica of Laidcenn, like that of other loricae, or "breastplate" prayers, is to seek protection for the body from a host of physical and spiritual assaults.
