The accessory minerals included zircon, apatite, ilmenite, sillimanite and monazite, while muscovite, chlorite, anatase, sericite and pinite were identified as the secondary minerals.
This fact can be explained by the presence of cordierite paragneiss, where cordierite weathers into pinite (mixture of sericite and chlorite).
Cordierite appears to be common in many of the rocks, though in most cases is completely retrograded to pinite or sericite making it difficult to be certain in rocks that have been completely retrograded.
