burst

1. noun, dated slang An indulgence of wild or celebratory activity; a spree or binge. Primarily heard in Australia. We went on a quite a burst once the job was finished. Started on Friday and didn't stop drinking till morning.
2. noun, obsolete slang A burglary. He hadn't been out of jail more than a week before he already started planning his next burst.
3. verb, slang To strike or thrash someone. Primarily heard in UK, Ireland. He said he'd burst me if I ever slagged his ma like that again.
