Hag´don

    (hăg´dǒn)
n.1.(Zool.) One of several species of sea birds of the genus Puffinus; esp., Puffinus major, the greater shearwarter, and Puffinus Stricklandi, the black hagdon or sooty shearwater; - called also hagdown, haglin, and hag. See Shearwater.
