v. re·set, re·set·ting, re·sets
v.tr.
1. To set again: reset a broken bone.
2. To change the reading of: reset a clock.
3. To adjust (the interest rate of a loan) according to contractual arrangement, as at the end of a preset term.
v.intr.
1. To be set again: waiting for the bowling pins to reset.
2.
a. To change according to contractual arrangement, as at the end of a preset term. Used of an interest rate.
b. To change to a different interest rate according to contractual arrangement, as at the end of a preset term. Used of a loan.
n. (rē′sĕt′)
The act or an instance of setting again: the reset of a computer password.
